Vowels

Similar to consonants, vowels can be categorized in three groups: short vowels, long vowels, and special vowels. The short and long vowels make the same sound, but are said in different ways. As the names state, short vowels are said quickly or in a short time. Long vowels are said longer and little more drawn out. Special vowels are just unique vowel sounds, and are typically said in quick and short as well.

When it comes to writing, some vowels change how they are written depending on if the syllable has a closing consonant or not.
